Transforming Training Environments at RNAS Yeovilton

A Full Immersive Graphics Installation for the Royal Navy SERE Team.

We recently had the privilege of completing a large-scale interior graphics project at RNAS Yeovilton, supporting the Royal Navy’s SERE Training School – the specialist unit responsible for Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Extraction. Their work prepares personnel for some of the toughest situations imaginable, ensuring they have the knowledge, mindset, and resilience required when operating in demanding environments around the world.



To help elevate their training facility and create fully immersive teaching zones, our team at N3 Display Graphics delivered a complete interior transformation featuring high-impact wallscapes, dimensional branding and specialist materials designed for durability and performance.

Creating an Immersive Training Space

The brief was to recreate multiple real-world environments within the indoor space, allowing trainees to transition visually from arctic conditions to desert heat, from tropical canopies to open ocean. This helps instructors bring contextual teaching to life, surrounding personnel with the landscapes and atmospheres they may one day encounter.

To achieve this, we installed digitally printed Drytac ReTac wall coverings throughout the facility. ReTac is perfectly suited to this kind of project – it’s dimensionally stable, cleanly removable, and delivers superb print clarity. Each wall section was produced using high-resolution imagery including:

• Tropical jungle environments
• Snow-covered arctic forests
• Desert plains with towering cacti
• Dark, rolling ocean scenes

These environmental wraps completely alter the feel of the space, immersing trainees the moment they walk through the doors.

Installation Excellence

Our installation team managed the entire process from print to fit, working carefully around specialist equipment inside the training space. Every doorway, corner, and surface was wrapped with precision, ensuring seamless transitions from one environment to the next.



The end result is a training facility that not only looks world-class but also enhances the delivery of vital survival instruction for Royal Navy personnel.
